Your Citroen Holidays leasing decision

Intelligent Vehicle Finance can assess a Citroen Holidays leasing enquiry for personal touring, subject to vehicle and funder confirmation. Holidays is Citroen’s SpaceTourer-based campervan conversion, not an ordinary passenger MPV. Match the travel and sleeping arrangements, confirm the engine and habitation equipment, and verify registration, insurance and tax classification before choosing an agreement.

Citroen Holidays personal leasing: a campervan brief

Holidays is a manufacturer-offered leisure conversion based on the SpaceTourer, with a living and sleeping arrangement rather than simply additional passenger seats. Citroen UK describes its partnership with Bravia Mobil and supply through its retailer network. An IVF enquiry still needs a specific eligible vehicle and a funder willing to support the proposed agreement; the manufacturer route does not establish IVF allocation.

Choose it by rehearsing how you intend to travel and stay. The people occupying seats on the road, the people sleeping overnight and the space used by luggage are related but different questions. A description of sleeping capacity should never be used as a substitute for the number of approved travel seats and belts on the supplied vehicle.

Our assessment is that Holidays belongs on a shortlist for someone who wants the camper arrangement to be part of the vehicle throughout the trip. If your requirement is simply to move a group between hotels, a passenger SpaceTourer could be a more relevant starting point. If you want a leisure conversion, compare it with the Volkswagen California and inspect the different layouts rather than treating both as generic MPVs.

Citroen Holidays leasing: key facts

  • Citroen UK identifies Holidays as a SpaceTourer-based campervan developed with conversion specialist Bravia Mobil and supplied through Citroen retailers.
  • The UK guide for models produced from 1 April 2026 specifies Diesel 180hp Automatic with a 2,184 cc engine.
  • That guide describes a pop-up roof bed and a second bed formed from the rear seats.
  • The current UK guide states a 2.01-metre height; measure the supplied vehicle with fitted accessories before relying on a barrier clearance.
  • IVF lists both 2.0 BlueHDi Max M EAT8 and 2.2 D Max M Auto. The newer specification must not be applied to the older row.
  • GOV.UK’s 2026/27 motorhome table gives £375 for a single 12-month payment in TC11 above 1,549 cc; apply only after the completed vehicle’s tax class is confirmed.

The 2.0 and 2.2 catalogue rows need separate documents

IVF’s live route checked on 27 September 2026 includes 2.0 BlueHDi Max M 5dr EAT8 and 2.2 D Max M 5dr Auto. Citroen’s UK price and specification guide for vehicles produced from 1 April 2026 identifies the newer 2,184 cc diesel. A current brochure can therefore be relevant to the 2.2 enquiry without proving the equipment or technical data of the 2.0 entry.

Ask IVF to confirm production date, engine, transmission and the complete conversion specification. The base-vehicle model year and the habitation equipment must both be clear. Obtain an inventory of removable items and accessories so that handover and return are measured against the same list. Do not infer that every item shown in a launch photograph belongs to the quoted vehicle.

The stated height in the newer UK guide is 2.01 metres. That is a warning to investigate the actual access route, not permission to pass a particular barrier. Measure the car as supplied with any fittings and consider gradients or changes in surface level. Your regular parking, home storage and campsite access all belong in the decision before committing.

Rehearse an evening and a departure

On a demonstration, move the cabin from travel mode to the arrangement you will use while stopped. Try accessing the storage you need, setting up the sleeping places and then restoring the seats and loose equipment for departure. Ask the supplying specialist to show the correct sequence and safety requirements. A static view of a prepared interior hides the work involved in changing it.

Consider where damp coats, footwear and bedding will go, and how everyone will move around when the weather keeps you inside. These questions are particularly useful for a couple planning longer trips or a family with different sleeping routines. A layout can be attractive yet inconvenient for your particular habits, so test it with the people who will travel.

The cooking, water, heating and electrical equipment need their own handover. Obtain the relevant operating instructions, servicing requirements and warranty responsibilities for the conversion. Do not assume the vehicle’s routine mechanical servicing includes habitation checks. Ask which work is performed by the vehicle retailer and which needs a specialist, then account for that in the agreement and travel plan.

Confirm the total permitted load for the supplied vehicle, including occupants, luggage, water and accessories. Avoid treating remaining storage space as available payload. If bicycles or another carrier are required, get written compatibility and loading information for the proposed installation, along with funder consent where needed. Keep removable equipment secure in travel mode and follow the supplier’s instructions.

Registration and insurance are separate checks

The description in a catalogue does not settle legal classification. Obtain the certificate of conformity or approval information, the registration details and the relevant weights for the actual completed vehicle. DVLA guidance explains that the body-type description on the V5C does not itself determine insurance category or speed limits. Do not read a single word on the log book as answering all three questions.

Give the insurer the full camper conversion, equipment and intended travel use. Ask for a quotation that reflects the completed vehicle and its contents, including any European trips you plan. We do not assign a normal passenger-car insurance group to Holidays. The insurer must confirm the cover, restrictions and any storage or security conditions for the precise risk.

If a business is considering the vehicle, explain the proposed use to both funder and accountant before selecting a finance route. This guide is written for passenger and personal leisure use, not a commercial-van tax proposition. Private availability, employee benefit and VAT classification need their own review; the presence of a bed does not remove the need for that analysis.

Set an annual mileage that includes touring detours, travel to campsites and normal daily use if Holidays will also be your everyday vehicle. Agree which servicing and habitation responsibilities remain with you. At return, the removable equipment and conversion condition matter alongside mileage and the bodywork, so preserve the handover inventory throughout the term.

Citroen Holidays tax: classification before calculation

For an employee or director with private availability, HMRC’s definition of a car starts from the construction of the vehicle and its statutory exceptions. It is a separate test from the VED class. Do not assign a flat van benefit simply because Holidays began with a van-related platform or has camping equipment.

If the completed diesel vehicle falls within the car-benefit rules and its certified emissions place it at the maximum, the published path is 37% for 2026/27, 37% for 2027/28, 38% for 2028/29 and 39% for 2029/30. These are conditional maximum percentages, not a confirmed Holidays tax assessment. An accountant must establish the classification, P11D, private availability and any relevant adjustments.

Where a statutory exception changes the benefit treatment, ask the accountant to identify the applicable rules rather than substituting the car table. Private leisure use should be described honestly at the outset. A sole trader’s own use and an employee’s benefit are also different questions.

Use the company-car BiK guide with HMRC’s current tables and the 2028/29 and 2029/30 changes. Tax information checked 27 September 2026; circumstances and rules can change. Obtain individual advice before treating a business agreement as tax-effective.

Road tax and costs across the term

Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). GOV.UK’s motorhome rules use revenue weight and tax class. For TC11 at no more than 3,500 kg and above 1,549 cc, a single 12-month payment is £375 in 2026/27. This is a conditional motorhome benchmark, not an assigned rate for an unidentified Holidays. Check the completed vehicle’s approval, registration and tax class, then ask how the funder includes VED and later increases. Read the motorhome rates.

Expensive Car Supplement. The post-12 March 2020 motor-caravan rules remove qualifying new motorhomes from the CO2-based car VED structure. Do not automatically add the passenger-car supplement to a qualifying TC11 motorhome. If a supplied vehicle is instead taxed under the car rules, the relevant registration and list-price conditions must be checked separately. HMRC explains the motorhome change. No individual Holidays classification is certified here.

Planned eVED. The announced April 2028 eVED scheme concerns electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The diesel Holidays specifications addressed here are not electric or plug-in hybrids, so do not add that proposed mileage charge to this diesel illustration. Future powertrain changes would require a new assessment. Check the government’s eVED response; later tax policy can change.

Business use, VAT and the accounts

A campervan enquiry needs an explicit VAT and business-purpose review. Do not apply the standard passenger-car rental recovery example automatically. Ask your accountant to establish whether the completed vehicle is a car for VAT, whether the business is entitled to recovery and how private use affects it. HMRC’s motoring VAT notice sets out the relevant definitions and rules.

Where car-hire deduction restrictions apply, the CO2 position must be checked under those rules. A different VED classification does not by itself settle income-tax or corporation-tax deductions. Retain the supplier’s completed-vehicle documentation and give the accountant the actual contract and intended use, not merely a catalogue screenshot.

For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026, revised FRS 102 generally requires a right-of-use asset and lease liability for lessees, including small companies using Section 1A. FRS 105 lease accounting for eligible micro-entities was not changed in the same way. Contract hire therefore does not universally keep a vehicle off the balance sheet. Ask your accountant to apply the right framework; HMRC summarises the accounting standards.

Build the quotation around the way you will use it

Tell IVF your annual mileage, regular passengers, essential equipment, charging access where relevant and preferred timing. Ask for the precise model year, derivative, options and registration status to be written into the quotation. The catalogue is a starting point; the offered vehicle and funder terms need confirmation.

Business Contract Hire is taken by the business; Personal Contract Hire is taken by the private individual. Both are subject to status and individual funder criteria. Compare the initial rental, term, mileage, maintenance and applicable fees on the same basis. An initial rental is part of the hire cost, not refundable security or ownership equity.

A manufacturer warranty starts under the supplied car’s warranty terms, normally from first registration. Its time and mileage limits may finish before your lease does. It is separate from optional servicing and tyre cover. Confirm maintenance inclusions, insurance responsibilities, tax provisions and early-termination terms before signing.

At the end of contract hire, return the vehicle; there is no contractual purchase option. Excess mileage, damage beyond the funder’s fair wear and tear standard, missing equipment or other contractual charges may still be payable. Check the return process before choosing your agreement.

Citroen Holidays leasing questions

What exactly is Citroen Holidays?

It is Citroen’s SpaceTourer-based campervan conversion, developed with Bravia Mobil and supplied through Citroen retailers. It combines travel seating with habitation equipment and sleeping arrangements. An IVF leasing enquiry still requires confirmation of the exact vehicle, conversion specification and eligible funder agreement.

Can I enquire about personal Holidays leasing?

Yes, ask IVF to assess an agreement for your personal touring requirements. Specify the travellers, sleeping arrangement, mileage and essential equipment. Manufacturer availability does not establish IVF allocation or funder acceptance, so obtain those confirmations before arranging trips around a handover date.

Is the current engine 2.0 or 2.2 litres?

The captured IVF route has both a 2.0 BlueHDi row and a 2.2 D row. Citroen’s UK guide for production from 1 April 2026 specifies a 2,184 cc diesel. Match the vehicle’s production date and engine to the correct document rather than merging the two specifications.

Does sleeping capacity equal travelling capacity?

No. Check the approved travel seats, belts and passenger positions separately from the beds. Ask the supplier to demonstrate travel mode and the overnight arrangement for your group. The number of places to sleep is not a substitute for the vehicle’s approved seating information.

Will Holidays fit under a two-metre barrier?

Do not assume it will. The current UK guide states a 2.01-metre height before considering your particular vehicle and accessories. Check actual clearance and the route geometry. A brochure dimension is a planning input, not a guarantee that a barrier or enclosed parking area is suitable.

Is Holidays taxed as an ordinary car or a van?

Verify the completed vehicle’s registration and tax class. GOV.UK has specific motorhome VED rules, while HMRC applies its own tests for employment benefits and VAT. The catalogue’s MPV label, camper equipment or V5C body description should not be used alone to determine all tax treatments.

Can I use a normal car insurance quote?

Give the insurer the complete campervan specification and intended use, then obtain its acceptance. DVLA says the recorded body type does not itself determine insurance category. Do not assume a passenger-MPV quote covers the conversion, habitation equipment or your planned travel.

Does maintenance cover the living equipment?

Only if the agreement expressly includes it. Ask about habitation checks, cooking and heating systems, water equipment, the roof and removable components separately from mechanical servicing. Obtain the relevant warranty and service responsibilities in writing before choosing a maintenance option.

How is a Holidays lease quote prepared?

The exact engine, completed conversion, equipment and eligible agreement come first. IVF then needs mileage, term, initial rental structure and maintenance requirements. Include touring use and any accessory request, and compare written terms that identify the same vehicle and responsibilities.

What should I compare if I only need passenger transport?

Start with the Citroen SpaceTourer route for a passenger-MPV brief. If the sleeping and habitation arrangement is essential, compare Holidays with the Volkswagen California instead. Demonstrate the actual layouts and confirm each vehicle’s own category, supply and agreement eligibility.
