IVF arranges business contract hire on vans already in stock with our supplying dealers and funders, so the specification, preparation and handover date can be confirmed for a real vehicle rather than a factory order. A named specialist checks the exact derivative and current availability when you enquire, then provides a written quotation.

In-stock van leasing starts with a specific vehicle

A stock van can be worth considering when your replacement is urgent or you have a new job to start. The useful question is when the right vehicle can be handed over to you. Stock location, preparation, fitted equipment, funder approval and paperwork all affect that date.

In-stock vans: key facts to confirm

  • Actual vehicle: confirm the version, colour, equipment and whether it is available to allocate.
  • Ready for your work: include lining, racking, security and other preparation in the timescale.
  • Written timing: ask for the expected handover date and what still has to happen.
  • Complete quotation: compare the payment schedule, mileage, VAT and fees as well as availability.

Ask us to confirm current availability for any listed vehicle that interests you. Listings can change, and a stock label alone does not confirm your delivery date.

An administration fee of £295 plus VAT applies in addition to the rental. Compare the initial rental, monthly rental, contract term, mileage and any other applicable charges in your written quotation.

Understand what ‘in stock’ means for your order

A vehicle can be physically available and still need preparation or transport before handover. It may also be awaiting allocation to your order. Avoid planning a job around an assumed date until the supplier’s position and your order requirements have been checked.

Choose what can change and what cannot

An urgent replacement is easier to shortlist when you separate essential requirements from preferences. Payload, usable load space, seating, insurance suitability and necessary equipment are working requirements. Colour or a convenience feature may be more flexible, but only you can decide whether a substitution is acceptable.

Tell IVF the date you need the van and the consequence of missing it. We can then compare the available options against the job, rather than treating every stock vehicle as a suitable replacement.

  • Keep the minimum load dimensions, working weight and number of seats explicit.
  • List equipment that must be fitted before the van goes to work.
  • Identify preferences you would change if that improves the realistic timing.
  • Ask for any proposed substitution in writing before agreeing to it.

If there is no suitable stock match, a wider van search may be more useful than accepting a vehicle that cannot do the job. A specialist conversion needs its own supply and build check.

Start with the right van category

Use these routes to prepare the specification you need, then ask which exact versions are currently available. The category pages cover both stock and other supply routes; following a category link does not reserve a vehicle.

Handover is part of the specification

Before delivery, agree what will arrive with the van: keys, charging cables where applicable, accessories, manuals and any fitted equipment. Confirm the address, access arrangements and who will accept it.

At handover, compare the vehicle and equipment with the order, record the mileage and condition, and raise discrepancies promptly through the agreed supplier process. For a converted van, the body and installed equipment may also have their own documents and maintenance requirements.

Urgency should not make the contract unclear

Ask for the complete business contract hire quotation before committing, even when a vehicle is needed quickly. The quotation should identify the actual version and the preparation or equipment agreed for handover.

  • At the start: check the initial rental, subsequent rentals and payment schedule, VAT, the £295 plus VAT administration fee, and any additional charges.
  • During the agreement: confirm the treatment of delivery and road tax, warranty start date, servicing, tyres, maintenance and insurance. Do not assume optional packages are included.
  • When the contract ends: contract hire normally means returning the vehicle, without an option to own it. Ask for the mileage charge, return-condition standard, equipment-removal requirements and any collection or end-of-contract charges. Early termination can carry a charge.

The vehicle specification and the finance decision are separate checks. Applications are assessed against the chosen funder’s criteria; a listed vehicle or quotation is not an approval.

Questions before you choose

Does in stock mean delivery within 48 hours?

No. The expected delivery date must be confirmed for the actual vehicle and order. Preparation, transport, any fitted equipment, funder approval and completed documentation can affect the timing.

Is a listed van reserved when I enquire?

An enquiry does not itself confirm that a vehicle has been allocated or reserved. Ask IVF what the supplier requires and when allocation is confirmed.

Can I change the specification of a stock van?

It depends on the vehicle and the changes requested. Factory-fitted features may already be fixed, while some accessories or preparation may be possible. Changes can affect availability, cost and timing.

Could an in-stock van be pre-registered?

It may be. Ask for the registration date, mileage, remaining warranty and the exact vehicle description before agreeing to the order.

What if none of the listed vans suits the job?

Tell IVF the essential load, seating and timing requirements. We can check the wider options and explain the available next step; a vehicle should not be selected solely because it appears available sooner.

Tell us the specification and the date that matters

Bring your essential requirements and any flexibility on the vehicle. We can check availability and work towards a written quotation and realistic handover plan.
