Global Vehicle Group's 2026 Priorities: What A "Transformational Year" Means For Intelligent Vehicle Finance Customers

Global Vehicle Group (GVG), the parent of Intelligent Vehicle Finance, described 2025 as a "transformational year" and set out its priorities for 2026 and beyond. With the group now managing more than 70,000 vehicles and delivering around 18,000 a year to UK business customers, here is what the plan says, and what it means for customers of our Plymouth-based team.

What changed in 2025

The year was shaped by two moves. In early 2025 the LCV Group, a Swansea-based commercial vehicle specialist, was brought into the group and became part of XLCR Vehicle Management, the company behind Intelligent Vehicle Finance. In June 2025 GVG acquired Fleet Alliance, the Glasgow-based fleet management and salary sacrifice specialist, adding corporate fleet capability and the eFleet technology platform.

The group also diversified its funding so that no single finance partner now represents more than around 15-20 per cent of group business, and strengthened group-level leadership in finance, marketing, people and compliance.

Andrew Hurst, CEO of Global Vehicle Group, said: "Our strategy is simple. We want to be the best B2B leasing broker group in the market." He described the model as "a single, powerful platform with a series of specialist front doors": trusted individual brands, with one efficient operating engine beneath them.

The 2026 priorities

GVG listed its priorities for the year as: expanding the eFleet platform across the group's customer base; growing Salary Sacrifice and Salary Sacrifice Light; winning new business with stand-out B2B leasing solutions; supporting more clients through renewals and fleet changes; building towards a single AI-enabled platform through modular development; harmonising processes across all brands; maximising group synergies and purchasing power; and upskilling teams.

"We're not interested in growth for its own sake," Andrew Hurst said. "Our aim for 2026 is disciplined, sustainable expansion."

What this means for Intelligent Vehicle Finance customers

  • A specialist front door, unchanged. Intelligent Vehicle Finance is one of those "specialist front doors". You still get a phone-first, consultative service from a small team that knows your business, backed by group-scale funding and supply.
  • Better tools behind the scenes. Investment in a single platform, and in the group's own CRM and stock system, is aimed at a faster and clearer process from quote to delivery for your business car lease or van lease.
  • Renewals and fleet changes as a priority. If your contract is coming to an end or your fleet is changing, that is exactly the work the group has committed to supporting better in 2026. Speak to us early.
  • Salary sacrifice, via the right specialist. Salary sacrifice sits with sister brand Fleet Alliance. If it is right for your business, we will point you to the right people rather than sell you something we do not specialise in.

Since the plan was published

The group has since been named Best B2B Broker in the inaugural BN25 league table, XLCR has won two Broker News Awards 2026, and in July GVG announced new investment from Palladian Investment Partners.
