Global Vehicle Group (GVG), the parent group of Intelligent Vehicle Finance, has set out its growth plans following regulatory approval of the investment in the business by Palladian Investment Partners. The announcement, published on 22 October 2026, centres on investment in technology and people across the group's four businesses, one of which is XLCR Vehicle Management Ltd, the company behind Intelligent Vehicle Finance. For our customers the short version is this: the people you deal with, the way we work and your lease agreement do not change, and the group behind us now has long-term backing to invest in the systems and service that sit behind what we do. Here is what was announced and what it means in practice.
What has been announced
GVG brings together Global Vans, Fleet Alliance, XLCR Vehicle Management and LCV Group. Between them the group's businesses manage more than 70,000 vehicles, with assets under management of more than £2.5 billion. The growth plans have three strands: investment in technology and people, strengthening each of the specialist businesses, and making the group's combined expertise easier for customers to reach. Van and car leasing, fleet management and salary sacrifice remain central to the strategy, which the group says lets it support businesses from sole traders and SMEs through to larger organisations with complex fleet requirements.
Andrew Hurst, Chief Executive Officer of Global Vehicle Group, said: "We have built a Group with substantial scale and expertise across the business vehicle market. Each of our brands has strong customer relationships and specialist knowledge, and we see considerable opportunity to build on those foundations. Palladian's backing gives us the support to invest for the long term. We want to help our businesses grow, develop our people and make it easier for customers to access the services they need across the Group."
He added that a customer's requirements can change considerably over time, whether that means additional vehicles, more support managing a fleet or help introducing salary sacrifice, and that the group already has the expertise to support those changes and wants to make better use of it for customers.

How we got here
Palladian's investment was first announced on 30 July 2026, subject to regulatory approval. H2 Equity Partners, the group's first private equity partner, backed GVG for four years and exits on completion. Earlier in the year the group had already set out its 2026 priorities. The same announcement confirmed that Andrew Cope, a founding member of Zenith and later its Chief Executive, would join the board as non-executive Chairman, adding further fleet industry experience.
Regulatory approval matters here because a group that includes FCA-authorised firms cannot change hands until the regulator has approved the change of control. XLCR Vehicle Management Ltd, the company behind Intelligent Vehicle Finance, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 315268). With that approval in place, the group has moved from announcement to plans.
Technology: what is being built
The group's technology plans have three parts:
- Websites and digital journeys: improvements to the group's websites and to the online journeys customers follow before they speak to someone.
- Proprietary systems: continued investment in the systems the group has built itself.
- eFleet across the group: GVG is preparing to extend access to eFleet, its vehicle management and driver support platform, across the group's brands, so that business customers and drivers have a common point of access.
The plans pair digital services with the specialist advice and account support each business already provides, to help customers choose, fund and manage vehicles as their needs develop.
Doug Oppenheim, Co-Managing Partner of Palladian Investment Partners, said: "GVG brings together established businesses with complementary strengths and a management team that understands its customers and markets. We see considerable potential to grow from that position. Our role is to support the team with the investment and resources to develop the business over the long term, while building on the expertise and service that customers already value."
What it means for Intelligent Vehicle Finance customers
Intelligent Vehicle Finance is one of the specialist businesses the plans are designed to strengthen. In practice:
- Nothing changes in how you deal with us. The same team in Plymouth, the same number, 01752 429950, and the same way of working: a conversation about what you need, then a recommendation and a quote, rather than a price grid.
- Your lease agreement is unchanged. As a broker, we arrange your lease; the agreement itself is with the funder named on it, and a change in the ownership of the group does not alter its terms.
- Scale behind a specialist broker. The group's scale, more than 70,000 vehicles managed, sits behind the funder relationships we draw on when we quote for business car leasing.
- Better tools, same people. The investment in websites, digital journeys and eFleet is designed to add to the advice and account support you get from a named person, not replace it. When eFleet access reaches Intelligent Vehicle Finance customers, we will explain here what it does and how to use it.
- If your needs grow. A customer who starts with one car may later need several, help managing a growing fleet, or a salary sacrifice scheme for employees. Some of that we do ourselves and some is handled elsewhere in the group, and we will introduce you to the right people.
Our focus does not move. We arrange car leasing for directors and businesses, from sole traders to small fleets, personal leasing for private individuals, the prestige and electric brands we specialise in, and vans for the businesses that need them. To talk through a car for your business or for yourself, call the team on 01752 429950 or request a callback.
