Palladian Investment Partners Backs Global Vehicle Group: What It Means For Intelligent Vehicle Finance Customers

Intelligent Vehicle Finance is part of Global Vehicle Group (GVG), and on 30 July 2026 GVG announced that it has signed an agreement for private equity firm Palladian Investment Partners to invest in the business. The deal is subject to regulatory approval. For our customers in Plymouth and across the UK, it means the group behind us is planning its next stage of growth with fresh backing, a new chairman and a clear focus on technology and service.

What has been announced

Palladian is backing GVG's co-founders Andrew Hurst and Jon Lewis and the existing management team, all of whom are reinvesting alongside the new investor and will continue to lead the group. H2 Equity Partners, GVG's first private equity partner, will exit on completion after four years with the business. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

On completion, Andrew Cope will join the GVG board as non-executive Chairman. He is a founding member and former Chief Executive of Zenith, which he led through several management buyouts as it grew into one of the UK's largest independent leasing and fleet management businesses.

What the group has said

Andrew Hurst, CEO of Global Vehicle Group, said the group is "incredibly excited to partner with Palladian, who share our vision that our business can continue on its strong growth trajectory" and take "a bigger share of the huge market for corporate cars and vans in the UK". He added that GVG would build on its customer proposition "by developing our proprietary technology and investing in our great team of people".

Doug Oppenheim, Co-Managing Partner at Palladian, described GVG as "a clear category leader with a differentiated multi-brand platform, a loyal customer base" and said Palladian sees the opportunity "investing in GVG's technology, broadening its product offering" and capturing "a greater share of the SME van, car and fleet markets".

What it means for Intelligent Vehicle Finance customers

Nothing changes in how you deal with us. Intelligent Vehicle Finance remains a phone-first, consultative leasing broker run from Royal William Yard in Plymouth, and you will keep speaking to the same people. What the investment does is strengthen the foundations behind that service.

  • Scale behind a specialist team. GVG manages more than 70,000 vehicles and delivers around 18,000 vehicles a year to UK business customers. That scale supports the funder panel and supply relationships we draw on when sourcing your business car lease.
  • Investment in technology. Both GVG and Palladian have named the group's proprietary platform as a priority, with the aim of a smoother experience from quote to delivery and in-life support.
  • Continuity of leadership. The founders and management team are staying and reinvesting, and Andrew Cope adds decades of fleet-industry experience at board level.
  • Same regulatory standing. We remain a trading style of XLCR Vehicle Management Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 315268).

Where this fits

The investment follows a strong twelve months for the group: GVG was named Best B2B Broker in the inaugural BN25 league table in February 2026, and sister brand XLCR Vehicle Management won two categories at the Broker News Awards 2026. You can read about our position in the group on our About us page, or speak to our team on 01752 429950 about your next prestige car, electric car or van lease.
