Your Peugeot Traveller leasing decision

Intelligent Vehicle Finance helps you assess Peugeot Traveller passenger leasing by seats, body length and charging arrangements. The captured IVF range is electric, with several seating layouts. For family groups or moving colleagues, choose the layout with luggage aboard first, then confirm the actual vehicle, car tax position and agreement.

Peugeot Traveller leasing for people and their belongings

The Traveller’s strongest reason for being on your shortlist is the passenger layout. A family travelling together, colleagues sharing a vehicle and a business moving guests can all need space that a conventional SUV struggles to organise. Decide which people must sit where, how they reach their seats and what must travel behind them. Those requirements should lead the conversation before trim or exterior colour.

This page is about the passenger car, not the Expert panel van. The live IVF Traveller listings captured on 28 September 2026 are electric passenger entries. That creates a clear task: assess the cabin and a workable charging routine together. A seat arrangement that fits perfectly still needs enough dependable time and access to charging between the journeys you intend to make.

Peugeot Traveller leasing: key facts

  • The captured IVF Traveller grid contains ten electric entries, each labelled 100kW and 75kWh.
  • Standard and Long body descriptions appear in the IVF passenger catalogue.
  • Combi entries specify nine total seats; Active entries specify eight; Allure entries include six, seven and eight.
  • Peugeot’s UK press specification distinguishes a 75kWh gross battery from 68kWh usable capacity for the updated E-Traveller.
  • Nine total seats mean eight passengers plus a driver; check the exact vehicle and each driver’s entitlement.
  • GOV.UK: zero-emission company-car BiK is 4% in 2026/27, rising to 9% in 2029/30.

Combi, Active and Allure in the captured grid

IVF’s grid includes Combi Standard and Long entries labelled nine seats, Active Standard and Long entries labelled eight seats, and Allure entries with six, seven or eight seats. All ten captured descriptions use 100kW and 75kWh. These labels establish what the catalogue displayed, not that every layout is currently offered by Peugeot UK or available from a funder.

Peugeot’s current UK passenger page promotes E-Traveller, while an August 2026 brand article mentions diesel Traveller powertrains more broadly. There are no diesel rows in this IVF capture, so this page does not offer a diesel choice by implication. If diesel is essential, ask IVF to investigate a suitable current alternative rather than assume it is hidden behind an electric listing.

The Combi and Allure names also need model-year confirmation. Equipment and seating arrangements in older catalogue descriptions may differ from current UK specifications. Ask for the supplied car’s seating plan, body length, trim, battery version and registration status. The live rental grid is useful for beginning a comparison, but those particulars belong in the written vehicle offer.

Design a passenger layout that works on every trip

Count the passengers and the driver separately. A nine-seat description normally includes the driver, leaving eight passenger places. Decide whether all those places are genuinely needed at once. For a team travelling to meetings, the space for coats and work bags may matter more than an unused extra seat. For family travel, the child-seat positions and access route need testing in the exact arrangement.

Check the sliding-door opening and the path into the last row with other seats occupied. Ask to see any approved seat movement or removal demonstrated. A flexible interior is only useful if you can operate it safely, retain the removed components and restore the approved layout. Never use a luggage area as an informal passenger position or carry equipment loose beside seated occupants.

Plan electric travel around a loaded vehicle

Build a route sheet for the longest normal day, including the return journey. For a people carrier, passengers, bags, heating and motorway speed are all relevant to energy use. A manufacturer test figure is a comparison benchmark, not permission to plan arrival with no reserve. This page does not assign a single driving-range claim to every Traveller row because model years and configurations are not yet matched.

Check where charging can happen while the vehicle would already be stopped. Overnight at home or work may fit more naturally than interrupting a passenger journey. Confirm access rights, the actual electrical installation and who can move the car if a space is shared. If you rely on public charging, identify a usable alternative rather than assuming one particular point will always be available.

Pay attention to bay layout. A people carrier with passengers and luggage needs a safe place to stop and an accessible cable position. Plan comfort breaks around the people aboard as well as the battery. Before accepting the vehicle, ask for its AC charging capability, DC specification and supplied cables. Those details should come from the exact offered version, not a related van’s brochure.

Licence, insurance and passenger-car classification

The Traveller on this car route should be assessed as a passenger vehicle. Do not adopt van benefit or van VED wording merely because Peugeot also supplies commercial vehicles. Where the car is available privately to an employee or director, use the company-car benefit framework. A specialist passenger business should ask its advisers to assess the actual use rather than infer treatment from an ordinary company-car example.

For driving entitlement, nine total seats are different from nine passenger seats. GOV.UK’s licence categories set the passenger-seat and maximum-authorised-mass limits. Check every driver’s entitlement and restriction codes. If a conversion would exceed eight passenger places, a separate entitlement assessment is required; the ordinary car assumption must not be carried across.

Tell IVF and the insurer exactly how the car will be used, including any paid passenger transport or specialist adaptation. An ordinary lease quotation does not establish permission for every operating activity. Confirm funder acceptance and any relevant operating requirements before relying on the vehicle for that work. This avoids a practical seating solution being undermined by an unsuitable agreement or insurance arrangement.

Choose the cabin specification and support arrangements

Treat the grade comparison as a passenger experience test. Rear ventilation, seat shape, access, storage and privacy may influence a group journey more than the driver’s first impression. Sit in the rear while somebody else drives. Check whether the exact quoted layout includes the equipment you used, especially when a demonstration car has a different number of individual seats.

Ask how servicing, repairs and recovery would work during your agreement. A passenger vehicle used daily by a team needs a clear plan when it is unavailable. Warranty, assistance and maintenance are separate arrangements with their own terms. Peugeot advertises conditional service-activated cover on eligible electric models; obtain the applicable document for the offered Traveller instead of assuming every historic catalogue entry has identical cover.

Peugeot Traveller company-car tax across the lease

The electric Traveller passenger cars captured here use the zero-emission company-car path when the ordinary company-car benefit rules apply. Seat count does not turn them into vans for benefit purposes. Establish the exact registration category and private-use arrangement before calculating the benefit.

The taxable benefit normally uses P11D value multiplied by the applicable percentage; personal tax then depends on the driver’s tax rate and circumstances. This is not a percentage of rentals. Sole traders need a separate assessment.

VED. For 2026/27, the single annual standard payment after year one is £200. First-year tax follows CO2 and registration rules; the zero-emission first-year rate is £10. Later annual cash rates are not confirmed here.

Expensive Car Supplement. The 2026/27 supplement is £440 annually for five years from the second licence. It applies above £40,000 list price for petrol, diesel and hybrids, or above £50,000 for qualifying electric cars registered from 1 April 2025. Use pre-discount list price including relevant options. For these electric passenger-car entries, check first registration before applying the supplement. GOV.UK VED rules.

Planned eVED. From April 2028, the government plans an additional mileage charge: electric cars 3p/mile, PHEVs 1.5p/mile. It is not currently in force and remains subject to legislation and implementation. CPI uprating is planned from 2029/30; later cash rates are unconfirmed. Ask how the funder passes through tax changes. Government eVED response.

VAT and the business accounts

VAT-registered businesses can normally reclaim 50% of the VAT on qualifying car rentals where private use is available, depending on circumstances and the normal VAT rules. Full rental-VAT recovery requires exclusive business use with no private availability. Maintenance can fall outside the rental block when it is genuinely optional, separately described in the contract and separately quantified on the invoice; recovery remains subject to normal VAT rules. Read HMRC’s motoring VAT guidance.

Businesses using the VAT Flat Rate Scheme do not normally recover input VAT on recurring car hire. The separate capital-goods exception does not turn hire invoices into a vehicle purchase. Check HMRC’s Flat Rate Scheme guidance.

A zero-emission car is not subject to the CO2-based lease-rental restriction. Check HMRC’s car-hire deduction rules.

For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026, revised FRS 102 generally requires a right-of-use asset and lease liability for lessees, including small companies using Section 1A. FRS 105 lease accounting for eligible micro-entities was not changed in the same way. Contract hire therefore does not universally keep a car off the balance sheet. Ask your accountant to apply the right framework; HMRC summarises the accounting standards.

Build the quotation around the way you will use it

Tell IVF your annual mileage, regular passengers, essential equipment, charging access where relevant and preferred timing. Ask for the precise model year, derivative, options and registration status to be written into the quotation. The catalogue is a starting point; the offered vehicle and funder terms need confirmation.

Business Contract Hire is taken by the business; Personal Contract Hire is taken by the private individual. Both are subject to status and individual funder criteria. Compare the initial rental, term, mileage, maintenance and applicable fees on the same basis. An initial rental is part of the hire cost, not refundable security or ownership equity.

A manufacturer warranty starts under the supplied car’s warranty terms, normally from first registration. Its time and mileage limits may finish before your lease does. It is separate from optional servicing and tyre cover. Confirm maintenance inclusions, insurance responsibilities, tax provisions and early-termination terms before signing.

At the end of contract hire, return the vehicle; there is no contractual purchase option. Excess mileage, damage beyond the funder’s fair wear and tear standard, missing equipment or other contractual charges may still be payable. Check the return process before choosing your agreement.

Peugeot Traveller leasing questions

Is the Traveller on this page a van lease?

This route covers passenger Traveller cars. The Peugeot Expert van serves a different goods-carrying task. Use the passenger car’s registration and intended use for tax, insurance and agreement checks rather than transferring assumptions from the related commercial vehicle.

Are the listed Travellers electric or diesel?

The ten rows captured from IVF on 28 September 2026 are electric. Peugeot mentions diesel versions in wider UK material, but this capture does not evidence a diesel vehicle offered here. Ask about alternatives if your journeys require a different powertrain.

How many seats can a listed Traveller have?

The captured descriptions span six, seven, eight and nine total seats, depending on the catalogue entry. Confirm the installed layout and model year in the quotation. A broad range description cannot establish the seats fitted to the car you will receive.

Does nine seats require a minibus licence?

Nine total seats normally means a driver and eight passengers. Check the exact maximum authorised mass and the driver’s entitlement under GOV.UK guidance. More than eight passenger seats is a different licensing question and must not be treated as an ordinary car automatically.

Should I choose Standard or Long?

Try both against your parking spaces and luggage with the required seats occupied. The longer body changes the space you must manoeuvre and park. Choose from a measured passenger-and-baggage task rather than a maximum capacity figure with seats removed.

Is every 75kWh Traveller specification identical?

No. The catalogue battery label does not settle model year, usable energy, equipment or certified range. Peugeot’s updated technical information distinguishes gross and usable capacity. Match the supplied derivative before using any charging-time or driving-distance benchmark.

Can Traveller work for a business passenger team?

It may fit if the approved seating, luggage and charging schedule suit the operation. Confirm insurer and funder acceptance of the actual activity, especially specialist or paid passenger work. A normal passenger lease does not establish permission for every use.

How should I plan Traveller charging?

Start with the longest normal loaded day and identify charging during existing stops. Verify the exact vehicle’s charging specification, access to suitable points and an alternative if a point is unavailable. Allow for weather, heating and a practical arrival reserve.

Is Peugeot’s extended cover automatic for every listing?

Do not assume that. Eligibility, registration, servicing and exclusions need checking for the exact supplied Traveller. Ask for the written warranty, assistance and maintenance terms separately, including what happens when the vehicle needs attention during a working day.

What does IVF need for a Traveller quotation?

Specify total seats, passenger needs, body length, luggage, regular routes, charging access and intended business or private use. Add mileage, term and maintenance preferences. The grid contains rentals, while the written quotation must confirm the vehicle and the complete agreement basis.
