Company car tax: around £60 a month, not £555
For the 2026/27 tax year, the Tesla Model 3 attracts a 4% Benefit-in-Kind rate. A 40% higher-rate taxpayer leasing a Premium Long Range RWD with a P11D value of approximately £44,925 will pay around £60 per month in company car tax. An equivalent diesel executive saloon at the 37% BiK band would attract roughly £550 per month, close to ten times more.

How much does it cost to charge a Tesla Model 3?
Charging at home on a standard variable tariff costs approximately 4 to 5 pence per mile. A dedicated EV tariff overnight can bring this below 2 pence per mile, compared to 12 to 15 pence per mile for fuel in a petrol equivalent. Public DC rapid charging on the Tesla Supercharger network costs more per kWh than home charging but is significantly faster: the Premium Long Range and Performance variants accept up to 250kW DC (the Rear-Wheel Drive accepts up to 170kW), adding around 175 miles of range in 15 minutes at a V3 or V4 Supercharger.
Can I have a home charging point fitted before my Model 3 arrives?
