Your Audi RS 6 leasing decision

Intelligent Vehicle Finance can investigate Audi RS 6 Avant contract hire around the exact vehicle and your business or personal requirements. Audi UK says new RS 6 Avant production has ended for the UK. IVF catalogue entries therefore need individual supply confirmation; they are not evidence of a current factory order.

Audi RS 6 Avant lease: establish the car before the contract

The RS 6 combines a performance-car brief with the shape of an estate. That is a particular reason to consider it, rather than a reason to treat every large Audi as an alternative. A driver may want space for family luggage and a distinctive powertrain in one car. The first practical question today, however, is whether a suitable vehicle can actually be identified.

Audi UK’s page checked on 24 September 2026 states that it is no longer building new RS 6 Avant cars for the UK. Its retained technical material describes the RS 6 Avant performance. IVF’s catalogue still contains RS 6 descriptions, but this guide does not convert those descriptions into a promise of factory availability, allocation or handover. Ask IVF to investigate the specific proposal before you plan around it.

This is a guide to a specific performance estate, not a forecast of a future RS 6. No specification, release date or powertrain is assigned to a successor. The A6 remains a separate model route, and a newer A6 generation does not establish the generation or technical details of an RS 6 proposal.

Audi RS 6 leasing: key facts

  • Checked 24 September 2026: Audi UK says it is no longer building new RS 6 Avant cars for the UK. A captured IVF listing is not a factory-order commitment.
  • Audi UK’s retained RS 6 Avant performance reference describes a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 TFSI petrol engine with quattro all-wheel drive.
  • That RS 6 Avant performance reference lists 630 PS and 850 Nm. These figures do not identify an unannounced successor.
  • Audi quotes 3.4 seconds from 0-62 mph for the same performance reference; this is manufacturer test data, not an IVF road-test result.
  • The September IVF catalogue lists Performance, Tech Pro, Carbon Black and Carbon Vorsprung estate descriptions. Exact vehicle and registration status remain to be established.
  • GOV.UK: the maximum company-car BiK band is 37% in 2026/27 and 39% in 2029/30; the exact car can fall in a lower band.

What IVF’s RS 6 derivative list actually says

The captured route has four distinct estate descriptions: RS 6 TFSI quattro Performance, a Performance description with Tech Pro, Performance Carbon Black and Performance Carbon Vorsprung. All are labelled petrol and automatic. The complete description matters because the equipment can change even when the powertrain wording is similar.

Ask which vehicle underlies the proposed quotation, including its model year, registration status, exact specification and equipment schedule. Where a catalogue entry survives a production change, those details become more important, not less. A generic RS 6 image or inherited description is insufficient evidence that the offered car matches a particular configuration.

Audi UK’s retained performance page provides the technical benchmark used here. Audi’s official generation history identifies the C8 era, but it is not a current-order announcement. Keep that historical identity separate from any future model discussion, and verify the proposed car against its own documents. There is no need to invent a next-generation story to answer a genuine RS 6 enquiry clearly.

Carbon trim names should lead to an equipment check rather than a performance assumption. Clarify wheel specification, seats, assistance functions and any optional braking or chassis equipment. If a particular feature makes the vehicle worth choosing for you, put it into the enquiry as a requirement rather than relying on photographs of another car.

Use the estate body as part of the decision

A performance estate can be an appealing alternative to a high SUV, but the usable luggage task still needs testing. Try your normal cases, sports equipment or family items through the rear opening and check what remains possible with passengers aboard. A long load area is not the same as a shape which accepts every bulky object conveniently.

The RS 6’s low estate format may suit someone who wants to avoid an SUV seating position. It may be a poor fit if a passenger needs a higher seat or if loading requires a particularly tall opening. Bring the person or object that determines the answer rather than choosing on the assumption that every large estate is equally practical.

Compare the A6 when the underlying need is an Audi estate for routine travel, and the M5 when the requirement remains a performance car with its own body and powertrain choices. Neither comparison should blur the RS 6’s production status. Establish a viable specific vehicle for each route before treating their quotations as alternatives.

Budget for the performance specification you choose

Discuss insurance before settling on a vehicle or optional equipment. Give the insurer the exact derivative and intended use rather than a broad A6 description. If more than one household or business driver will use it, check all of them. An attractive vehicle proposal is not complete until the intended drivers can use it on terms they understand.

Review servicing, tyres and other wear items in the maintenance schedule and any optional package. Ask what is included, what is excluded and whether there are conditions affecting specialised equipment. A package title alone does not establish that every high-value component or consumable is covered for the whole agreement.

The performance figures are manufacturer benchmarks under defined conditions. They are not a reason to infer real-world fuel use or total operating cost. Plan with your likely journeys and mileage, then leave room in the budget for contractual responsibilities which remain outside the rental. The aim is a sustainable ownership-free use decision, with no surprise about what you have agreed to maintain.

An RS 6 lease-price enquiry needs a confirmed specification

For this model, the sequence matters: identify the proposed car, confirm its specification and status, then compare the contract. Ask for the same mileage, agreement term, initial rental basis and maintenance assumptions across any proposals. A figure attached to a generic catalogue entry is not enough to establish a comparable offer.

Company-car use also requires the P11D value and certified emissions. Petrol performance should not be assessed using the electric percentages which apply to another Audi route. Review the annual path below with your accountant and include insurance, fuel and any maintenance exclusions in the decision.

Give IVF both the essential RS 6 requirements and acceptable alternatives. If a specific vehicle cannot be confirmed, the useful next step is an honest discussion of another suitable model. Do not make a disposal, return or travel commitment based solely on the continued presence of an RS 6 derivative in the catalogue.

Audi RS 6 company-car tax across the lease

An RS 6 petrol company car needs a high-emission tax assessment using the proposed vehicle’s P11D and certified CO2. The end of UK production does not change the private-use tax calculation for a car actually supplied under an agreement.

Private-use tax generally starts with P11D value multiplied by the annual BiK percentage, then your income tax rate. That percentage does not apply to the rental. Sole-trader business use follows different rules.

Tax specification2026/272027/282028/292029/30
High-CO2 petrol or qualifying diesel at the maximum band37%37%38%39%

These are conditional tax bands, not assigned rates for every Audi RS 6. Confirm the supplied car’s P11D, certified CO2, fuel type and registration date. Diesel supplements can apply where the required emissions certification is absent, subject to the annual maximum.

Use our company-car BiK guide alongside HMRC’s 2026/27 and 2027/28 tables and the published 2028/29 and 2029/30 changes. Tax information checked 24 September 2026 against the C1 ledger and its primary sources. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may change; consult your accountant.

Road tax and costs across the term

Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). The particular RS 6’s registration history and CO2 determine its first-year VED position. The 2026/27 standard annual rate thereafter is £200, before any supplement. Confirm the proposed vehicle’s status and how the funder handles tax changes; later annual cash rates are not assumed.

Expensive Car Supplement. For a petrol car, list price above £40,000 including relevant options triggers the supplement. It is £440 annually in 2026/27 for five years from the second licence. Check where the proposed RS 6 sits in that period; discounts do not reset its original list price. Check GOV.UK’s VED rules.

Planned eVED. Proposed eVED from April 2028 concerns electric cars at 3p per mile and plug-in hybrids at 1.5p, additional to VED, with CPI uprating proposed from 2029/30. It does not cover the petrol RS 6 described here. The scheme is not currently charged and remains subject to legislation and implementation. Read the eVED consultation response.

VAT and the business accounts

VAT-registered businesses can normally reclaim 50% of the VAT on qualifying car rentals where private use is available, depending on circumstances and the normal VAT rules. Full rental-VAT recovery requires exclusive business use with no private availability. Maintenance can fall outside the rental block when it is genuinely optional, separately described in the contract and separately quantified on the invoice; recovery remains subject to normal VAT rules. Read HMRC’s motoring VAT guidance.

The hire-cost rules normally disallow 15% of otherwise deductible rentals for cars above 50 g/km, subject to their scope and exceptions. A company-car BiK easement does not establish relief from this restriction. Check HMRC’s car-hire deduction rules.

For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026, revised FRS 102 generally requires a right-of-use asset and lease liability for lessees, including small companies using Section 1A. FRS 105 lease accounting for eligible micro-entities was not changed in the same way. Contract hire therefore does not universally keep a car off the balance sheet. Ask your accountant to apply the right framework; HMRC summarises the accounting standards.

Flat Rate Scheme users generally cannot reclaim VAT on recurring car-hire payments. Ask your accountant which VAT regime applies before using the recovery examples above.

Build the quotation around the way you will use it

Tell IVF your annual mileage, regular passengers, essential equipment, charging access where relevant and preferred timing. Ask for the precise model year, derivative, options and registration status to be written into the quotation. The catalogue is a starting point; the offered vehicle and funder terms need confirmation.

Business Contract Hire is taken by the business; Personal Contract Hire is taken by the private individual. Both are subject to status and individual funder criteria. Compare the initial rental, term, mileage, maintenance and applicable fees on the same basis. An initial rental is part of the hire cost, not refundable security or ownership equity.

A manufacturer warranty starts under the supplied car’s warranty terms, normally from first registration. Its time and mileage limits may finish before your lease does. It is separate from optional servicing and tyre cover. Confirm maintenance inclusions, insurance responsibilities, tax provisions and early-termination terms before signing.

At the end of contract hire, return the vehicle; there is no contractual purchase option. Excess mileage, damage beyond the funder’s fair wear and tear standard, missing equipment or other contractual charges may still be payable. Check the return process before choosing your agreement.

Audi RS 6 leasing questions

Can I request an Audi RS 6 business lease quotation?

IVF can investigate your requirements, but the specific vehicle must be confirmed first. Audi UK says new RS 6 Avant production has ended for the UK. A catalogue description alone is not evidence of an available factory order or a particular supply date.

Is the RS 6 Avant still a current UK factory-order model?

Audi UK’s page checked on 24 September 2026 says it is no longer building new RS 6 Avant cars for the UK. This guide therefore makes no factory-order claim and requires individual confirmation of any vehicle proposed by IVF.

Which RS 6 does the performance information describe?

It describes Audi UK’s retained RS 6 Avant performance reference, with its petrol V8 and quattro drivetrain. It does not describe or predict an unannounced successor. Match the offered vehicle’s generation and specification before relying on the figures.

What RS 6 versions appear in the IVF catalogue?

The captured page lists Performance, a Performance Tech Pro description, Carbon Black and Carbon Vorsprung estate entries. They are starting points for a vehicle enquiry, with exact equipment, registration status and provision still requiring confirmation.

How should I compare an RS 6 lease price?

First establish the actual car. Then align mileage, term, initial rental, maintenance and equipment across proposals, including applicable fees and tax-change provisions. A quotation cannot be compared reliably while the underlying vehicle remains unspecified.

Is an A6 Avant the same model as an RS 6?

No. The A6 is a separate route and range. It is relevant if your main requirement is an executive estate, but its current generation or technical figures do not establish the specification of an RS 6.

Should I also consider the BMW M5?

It is a useful separate performance-car comparison if its body and powertrain suit the task. Assess the actual proposed vehicle, charging where relevant, tax and running responsibilities. Do not assume two performance cars have equivalent agreement costs.

Does a maintenance package cover every RS 6 running cost?

Only the written package establishes its coverage. Check servicing, tyres, wear items and any conditions affecting specialised equipment. Insurance, fuel, damage and contractual charges need their own consideration unless explicitly included.

What makes an RS 6 practical for my family?

The answer is your actual passenger and luggage test. Check the rear opening, occupied-seat space, regular parking and access for every passenger. The estate body is useful only if it solves the load and seating tasks you repeat.

What happens if the required RS 6 cannot be confirmed?

Discuss a suitable alternative with IVF before making commitments around a replacement. The enquiry should remain conditional on an identified vehicle and written terms; this page makes no substitute promise about a future model or supply date.
