Which Geely should you lease?
Choose EX2 for compact electric hatchback use, EX5 for a larger electric SUV, or Starray EM-i when you want a plug-in hybrid with petrol available for longer journeys. The size of the car and the way you replenish its energy are separate decisions.

EX5: the larger electric SUV
Choose EX5 when five people and their luggage need more space than the compact EX2 provides. Geely’s current UK specification gives EX5 a 4,615 mm body and a 461-litre seats-up boot, against EX2’s 4,135 mm and 375 litres. That adds 86 litres of rear luggage capacity for another 480 mm of length.
Battery choice comes before EX5 trim: the listed SE, Pro and Max carry 60 kWh labels, while Ultra carries a 68 kWh label. Current range and charging headlines for one battery cannot be applied to all of them, and the quoted UK model year and equipment need to match.
Starray EM-i: a plug-in hybrid needs a charging plan
Choose Starray EM-i when regular charging suits local trips but petrol capability is part of the longer-distance brief. IVF lists 1.5 plug-in hybrids in Pro, Max and Ultra grades. Think through both a normal charged day and a long journey after the stored electric energy has been used.
Choose the equipment around the cabin and luggage you need, then compare the full agreement. The offered car’s certified CO2 and electric-only range set the plug-in tax assessment; a combined petrol-and-electric distance headline is a different measure.
EX2: make the everyday load the deciding test
A shorter parking footprint is a good reason to start with the electric EX2. The current UK hatchback has five seats, 375 litres of rear luggage space and a 4,135 mm body; its published folded volume is 1,320 litres when rear seating is given over to cargo.
Select Pro, Max or Ultra around the journeys and equipment you need. IVF’s 35 and 47 kWh battery labels identify different derivatives, so any range or charging claim belongs to the actual UK battery, motor, wheels and model year being offered.
Servicing and support for your Geely
Choose a Geely with a servicing arrangement that works for your address as well as a suitable cabin. Ask about the local workshop, assistance during a repair and any connected-service subscription that your daily use relies on. The applicable warranty and lease terms set what is included.

Warranty, maintenance and the full lease term
Geely’s UK terms state eight years or 125,000 miles, whichever comes first, for the base vehicle warranty, with separate eight-year or 125,000-mile high-voltage battery cover. Terms, exclusions and shorter periods for some components apply.
The battery terms address excessive capacity loss below 70% and provide for repair or replacement to restore the specified threshold. They do not promise that a battery remains at its original capacity throughout the lease. Confirm eligibility and the actual warranty start date.
Geely allows independent servicing when its requirements are met; retain the prescribed records and use the required parts and procedures. Optional lease maintenance, consumables and return condition remain separate from warranty cover.
Geely company-car tax: use the exact vehicle
The electric EX5 and EX2 examples use exact listed values. Starray’s plug-in assessment requires certified CO2 and electric range, so no blanket Starray rate is assigned here.
Personal-tax illustrations: a full year, 40% income tax and no employee contributions or other adjustments, using IVF’s 10 September 2026 Geely entries. Neither lease rentals, employer costs nor equivalent-car savings.

The illustrated bands are Zero-emission electric: 4% in 2026/27; Qualifying PHEV, 1–50 g/km, certified electric range 40–69 miles: 10% in 2026/27. Confirm P11D, certified CO2/range and transitional treatment with your accountant. Read the general company-car BiK rules. EX2 and EX5 are electric, but Starray EM-i is a plug-in hybrid; its battery and electric drive do not make the zero-emission row applicable.

Which Geely suits a compact electric-car brief?
Start with EX2. Geely gives the UK car five seats and 375 litres of boot space with the rear seats in place. EX5 is the electric SUV alternative if that body better fits your needs. Starray EM-i is a plug-in hybrid, so it answers a different powertrain requirement.
Does every EX5 have the same battery?
The SE, Pro and Max entries carry 60kWh labels, while Ultra carries 68kWh. Confirm the supplied model year and technical specification before applying range or charging figures.
Which EX2 versions are listed?
The EX2 entries are Pro with a 35kWh label and Max or Ultra with 47kWh labels. Compare the actual cabin, equipment and charging specification, and ask IVF to confirm supply.
Does Starray need plugging in?
Regular external charging is needed to make regular use of its stored electric capability. Assess the actual charging routine and longer petrol-assisted journeys before choosing a plug-in hybrid.
What does Geely’s eight-year warranty cover?
The UK terms state eight years or 125,000 miles for the base vehicle and separately for the high-voltage battery, whichever comes first. Exclusions and shorter component periods apply; it is not an all-cost maintenance promise.
Must every service be done at a Geely dealer?
Geely’s UK terms allow independent servicing when its maintenance requirements are met. Keep the prescribed records and confirm the requirements for any separate cover or maintenance product.
Can I use overseas Geely specifications?
Only if they are confirmed to match the actual UK car offered by IVF. Battery, motor, model year, equipment, wheels and connected services may differ between markets.
Is maintenance included in a Geely lease?
Maintenance is optional: check that the quotation itemises servicing, tyres and exclusions for your chosen Geely. Warranty cover for defects is separate from routine maintenance, insurance, energy and return charges.
What should I confirm before ordering?
Check whether the EX5 offered has the Ultra battery specification, or identify the Starray grade and charging provision. Compare the full hire commitment, including early termination and end-of-contract charges.
