Your Suzuki e Vitara leasing decision

Intelligent Vehicle Finance helps you compare Suzuki e Vitara leasing for business and personal use. Suzuki UK now markets this electric SUV with battery, trim and drivetrain choices. Assess Motion or Ultra, front-wheel drive or ALLGRIP-e, and your charging routine; the e Vitara is distinct from the hybrid Vitara.

e Vitara business and personal leasing: an electric Suzuki decision

The e Vitara is the Suzuki to investigate when you want an electric SUV and have a workable way to charge it. It is distinct from the familiar hybrid Vitara, rather than a battery option to assume within that car’s specification. For a company-car driver, its zero-emission status belongs in the tax discussion. For a private household, the first questions are parking, passengers and how charging will fit around ordinary commitments.

Suzuki’s current UK pages include configuration and finance routes, so this is a marketed UK model rather than a concept to describe as awaiting introduction. That does not establish IVF allocation or delivery timing. The useful next step is a derivative-specific enquiry: battery, Motion or Ultra equipment, and whether ALLGRIP-e serves a real need. Avoid treating the longest warranty headline or largest battery as the whole reason to choose the car.

Suzuki e Vitara leasing: key facts

  • Suzuki UK currently lists e Vitara as a battery-electric SUV, alongside the separate mild-hybrid Vitara.
  • Battery choices are labelled 49kWh and 61kWh; match the exact derivative before comparing technical figures.
  • The IVF capture lists five combinations across Motion, Ultra and selected ALLGRIP-e versions.
  • ALLGRIP-e is the electric four-wheel-drive option, available on selected 61kWh derivatives.
  • Standard manufacturer warranty is three years/60,000 miles; qualifying servicing can activate further cover up to ten years/100,000 miles, subject to terms.
  • GOV.UK: zero-emission company-car BiK is 4% in 2026/27, rising to 9% in 2029/30.

The five combinations in the captured e Vitara range

On 28 September 2026, the IVF route showed Motion 49kWh, Motion 61kWh, Motion ALLGRIP-e 61kWh, Ultra 61kWh and Ultra ALLGRIP-e 61kWh. Suzuki’s UK range information supports these battery, trim and drivetrain distinctions. Confirm the supplied model year and equipment before comparing quotations, particularly where a catalogue power label is rounded differently from manufacturer material.

The smaller-battery Motion is a separate choice to assess against your regular journeys and charging opportunities. The larger battery adds a different energy reserve, while Ultra changes the equipment brief. ALLGRIP-e adds another drivetrain decision. These are not interchangeable upgrades: decide which requirement each one solves, then ask IVF to quote the relevant combination rather than building a shortlist from badge order alone.

ALLGRIP-e: choose it for a defined use

ALLGRIP-e is Suzuki’s electric four-wheel-drive option on selected e Vitara versions. If traction on awkward approaches is part of your routine, describe the road and parking conditions rather than merely asking for four-wheel drive. A dealership demonstration can explain the controls and limitations. The badge does not establish a towing capacity, a water-depth capability or permission to use the leased vehicle in every off-road situation.

If towing, a roof carrier or specialist equipment is essential, request the exact UK approved limits and compatible accessories. Check any funder restrictions before installation. Do not infer a carrying or towing allowance from a family resemblance to another Suzuki. The electric e Vitara has its own vehicle approval and technical documentation, which need to match the supplied derivative.

Build a dependable e Vitara charging routine

Suzuki publishes range and charging benchmarks for the e Vitara, but the battery and drivetrain matter to the comparison. This page does not apply the range of one version to all five IVF entries. Obtain the current technical sheet for the quoted car and consider weather, speed, load and heating on your most demanding regular journey. A laboratory range is a comparison figure, not a distance promised between stops.

For home charging, check the proposed installation before depending on it. Consider cable reach, parking access, the available electrical supply and whether you need a landlord’s or property manager’s agreement. For workplace charging, establish payment and access rules, especially if several employees share the bays. If public charging will do most of the work, test the practical stops on your actual route.

Longer trips need a realistic stop plan and an alternative if a charger is occupied or unavailable. Distinguish AC charging at a destination from DC charging during a journey. The car’s peak capability is only one limit; the charger and battery conditions also affect the result. Ask for the manufacturer’s stated charge window and test conditions before treating a minutes figure as part of an appointment schedule.

Motion and Ultra should be compared from the cabin

Suzuki lists a sliding and reclining rear seat among the e Vitara’s practical features. Use that adjustment with your own passengers to see the trade-off between rear legroom and luggage. Position the driver’s seat first, then try child seats, access and belt buckles. A feature is only useful if it supports the seating arrangement you need on ordinary days.

Suzuki’s extended cover is service activated, which is materially different from an unconditional ten-year manufacturer warranty. Confirm qualifying service requirements, renewal periods and the mileage ceiling. For a business with higher annual mileage, calculate when the mileage limit might be reached and whether the chosen service location is convenient. Keep the manufacturer warranty, battery terms and optional lease maintenance as separate documents.

If charging remains the obstacle, compare the separate Vitara and S-Cross hybrid pages; Swift is another option when a smaller car meets the passenger brief. They do not share the e Vitara’s electric-car tax position. A useful comparison keeps each model’s actual powertrain, size and agreement obligations clear, allowing you to choose an electric SUV because the whole routine works.

Suzuki e Vitara company-car tax across the lease

e Vitara follows the zero-emission company-car path where the normal company-car rules apply. It must not inherit the hybrid Vitara’s emissions-based calculation, or vice versa. Use the exact P11D value and compare all tax years rather than treating the first year as fixed for the lease.

For an employee or director with private use, the taxable benefit normally starts with the car’s P11D value multiplied by the applicable BiK percentage. Personal tax then depends on the individual’s income tax rate and any relevant adjustments. The percentage is not the tax rate applied to the lease rental. A sole trader’s own business car use follows different rules.

The agreement can cross several tax years. Compare the whole path, not just the percentage in the year the car arrives.

Tax information checked 28 September 2026 against the C1 ledger and its primary sources. Tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and may change; consult your accountant.

Road tax and costs across the term

Vehicle Excise Duty (VED). For 2026/27, the standard annual VED payment after the first year is £200 before any supplement. First-year VED depends on CO2 and registration rules; zero-emission cars currently have a £10 first-year rate. These cash rates apply to 2026/27 only; later annual VED rates are not confirmed here. Ask how the funder treats tax increases during your agreement.

Expensive Car Supplement. The Expensive Car Supplement is currently £440 a year for five years from the second licence. The list-price threshold is more than £40,000 for petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, or more than £50,000 for qualifying zero-emission cars registered from 1 April 2025. Use the published list price before discounts, including relevant options, and check the registration date. Plug-in hybrids do not receive the electric-car threshold. GOV.UK explains VED and the supplement.

Planned eVED. The government plans Electric Vehicle Excise Duty (eVED) from April 2028, alongside VED: 3p per mile for electric cars and 1.5p per mile for plug-in hybrids. This is proposed for April 2028, subject to legislation and implementation; it is not a charge currently in force. The stated rates are planned starting rates, with CPI uprating proposed from 2029/30 and later cash rates not confirmed. An agreement spanning introduction needs the funder’s written treatment of the charge and later changes. Check the government’s consultation response and final implementation guidance before committing.

VAT and the business accounts

VAT-registered businesses can normally reclaim 50% of the VAT on qualifying car rentals where private use is available, depending on circumstances and the normal VAT rules. Full rental-VAT recovery requires exclusive business use with no private availability. Maintenance can fall outside the rental block when it is genuinely optional, separately described in the contract and separately quantified on the invoice; recovery remains subject to normal VAT rules. Read HMRC’s motoring VAT guidance.

Businesses using the VAT Flat Rate Scheme do not normally recover input VAT on recurring car hire. The separate capital-goods exception does not turn hire invoices into a vehicle purchase. Check HMRC’s Flat Rate Scheme guidance.

A zero-emission car is not subject to the CO2-based lease-rental restriction. Check HMRC’s car-hire deduction rules.

For accounting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026, revised FRS 102 generally requires a right-of-use asset and lease liability for lessees, including small companies using Section 1A. FRS 105 lease accounting for eligible micro-entities was not changed in the same way. Contract hire therefore does not universally keep a car off the balance sheet. Ask your accountant to apply the right framework; HMRC summarises the accounting standards.

Build the quotation around the way you will use it

Tell IVF your annual mileage, regular passengers, essential equipment, charging access where relevant and preferred timing. Ask for the precise model year, derivative, options and registration status to be written into the quotation. The catalogue is a starting point; the offered vehicle and funder terms need confirmation.

Business Contract Hire is taken by the business; Personal Contract Hire is taken by the private individual. Both are subject to status and individual funder criteria. Compare the initial rental, term, mileage, maintenance and applicable fees on the same basis. An initial rental is part of the hire cost, not refundable security or ownership equity.

A manufacturer warranty starts under the supplied car’s warranty terms, normally from first registration. Its time and mileage limits may finish before your lease does. It is separate from optional servicing and tyre cover. Confirm maintenance inclusions, insurance responsibilities, tax provisions and early-termination terms before signing.

At the end of contract hire, return the vehicle; there is no contractual purchase option. Excess mileage, damage beyond the funder’s fair wear and tear standard, missing equipment or other contractual charges may still be payable. Check the return process before choosing your agreement.

Suzuki e Vitara leasing questions

Is the Suzuki e Vitara on sale in the UK?

Suzuki UK currently markets it with range, configuration and finance information, checked on 28 September 2026. IVF lists five derivative combinations. That supports a current UK model enquiry, but the exact vehicle, allocation and delivery position must still be confirmed individually.

Is e Vitara the same as the hybrid Vitara?

No. e Vitara is the battery-electric model and has its own battery, drivetrain and specification choices. The separate Vitara page concerns a different model brief. Make the name and powertrain explicit in the quotation so hybrid and electric assumptions are not mixed.

Which e Vitara batteries can I compare?

The current UK range uses 49kWh and 61kWh battery labels. Match the battery to the exact Motion or Ultra derivative and drivetrain before using any published range or charging data. The capacity label alone does not predict the distance your journeys will achieve.

What does ALLGRIP-e mean on e Vitara?

It is Suzuki’s electric four-wheel-drive option, offered on selected 61kWh versions. Assess whether it supports your actual road conditions and confirm the quoted equipment. It does not independently establish towing limits, off-road permissions or a particular real-world range.

Which e Vitara versions does IVF list?

The capture shows Motion 49kWh, Motion 61kWh, Motion ALLGRIP-e 61kWh, Ultra 61kWh and Ultra ALLGRIP-e 61kWh. Ask for the precise model year and full UK specification. Compare only the combinations that satisfy your equipment and charging requirements.

Should I choose e Vitara Motion or Ultra?

Compare the equipment you will use, with the correct battery and drivetrain. Try seating, visibility, parking controls and phone integration in person. If the demonstrator differs from the quotation, request a written list of those differences before making the trim decision.

Does e Vitara include a ten-year warranty?

Suzuki’s standard manufacturer cover is three years or 60,000 miles. Further cover can be activated through qualifying servicing up to ten years or 100,000 miles, subject to conditions and renewal limits. It is not unconditional ten-year cover from delivery; confirm the applicable policy.

How do I check e Vitara range for my journeys?

Use current UK data for the exact battery, drivetrain and equipment, then consider motorway use, weather, load and heating. Plan charging and a backup for longer trips. Do not apply the highest figure in the model range to every listed e Vitara.

Can e Vitara be a business lease?

Ask IVF about a suitable Business Contract Hire quotation, subject to status and funder criteria. A qualifying zero-emission company car uses the electric BiK path, but the employer’s rental, VAT and running costs remain separate from the driver’s personal benefit calculation.

What should I tell IVF about an e Vitara enquiry?

State battery preference, Motion or Ultra, whether ALLGRIP-e is needed, annual mileage and term. Explain home or workplace charging and any passenger or luggage constraints. Review the written initial rental, maintenance, fees and return obligations alongside the car specification.
