Which Changan should you lease?
Choose Deepal S05 for the shorter electric SUV and a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive, or S07 Ultra for the longer body and slightly larger rear boot. The model number alone is a poor guide to luggage space: S05 has more storage under the bonnet.

Deepal S07: the longer SUV with rear-wheel drive
Choose S07 Ultra if its longer cabin and SUV layout suit your regular passengers. Changan’s current UK specification is 4,750 mm long, with a 510-litre rear boot and a separate 125-litre front compartment. The 160 kW rear-wheel-drive car is quoted at up to 295 miles WLTP combined.
Plan a longer stop around the published 30–80% charging time of 35 minutes, rather than treating it as a 10–80% claim. These figures cover the current UK S07 Ultra with a 79.97 kWh battery, listed by IVF as 80 kWh; road range and charge time vary with conditions.
S05 or S07: body length and luggage space
Choose S05 Max if you want a shorter body with useful storage at both ends. Both UK versions have a 492-litre rear boot; the rear-wheel-drive car adds 159 litres at the front, against 152 litres for AWD. At 4,598 mm long, S05 is 152 mm shorter than S07 while giving up only 18 litres of rear boot space.
Choose rear-wheel drive for the current headline of up to 303 miles WLTP combined, or AWD when the extra driven axle matters, with up to 278 miles WLTP combined. Changan quotes 23 minutes for 10–80% DC charging on these 68.8 kWh cars, which IVF labels 69 kWh; the separate luggage compartments are not one continuous load space, and range and charging depend on conditions.

Assess the charging routine and the controls together
Base your Deepal charging plan on where the car spends time parked and the stops on your recurring longer journeys. S05’s 10–80% and S07’s 30–80% manufacturer timings cover different windows, so they are not a like-for-like speed test.
Try the parking controls, phone connection and daily cabin functions during the demonstration. For a newer brand, seeing the UK car perform the functions you need is more useful than choosing from a global feature video. IVF’s electric car leasing hub offers other bodies for the same brief.
Make local support part of the shortlist
Choose a support arrangement you can use locally as well as a car you like driving. Include the servicing workshop, roadside assistance and any replacement-car provision in the discussion; the applicable warranty and maintenance terms set what is covered.

Warranty, maintenance and the full lease term
Changan’s UK guidance states seven years or 100,000 miles for basic vehicle cover, whichever comes first. Its high-voltage battery warranty is separately eight years or 124,000 miles, with a 70% capacity threshold under the applicable terms.
Changan’s commercial-use provision is three years or 60,000 miles, with published examples including taxi, ride-hailing, delivery and other business-related services. For your car, IVF needs the policy, start date and intended-use classification in writing; ordinary company-car or contract-hire status alone does not resolve which period applies.
Scheduled services, tyres, insurance and lease-return obligations are separate. Optional maintenance and roadside assistance should be identified explicitly in the quotation.
Changan company-car tax: use the exact vehicle
These exact S07 and S05 electric entries use the same zero-emission rate but different taxable values. The illustrations are personal company-car tax, not rental quotations or a full ownership-cost comparison.

The illustrated bands are Zero-emission electric: 4% in 2026/27. Confirm P11D, certified CO2/range and transitional treatment with your accountant. Read the general company-car BiK rules. The Deepal S05 and S07 entries are battery-electric; their different P11D values still produce different personal tax at the same zero-emission percentage.

Which Changan models does IVF list?
IVF lists Deepal S07 and Deepal S05. Ask IVF to confirm the actual UK specification, allocation and timing.
Are these Deepal cars fully electric?
All S07 and S05 entries here are battery-electric. A range-extending version described in another market should not be treated as the supplied UK car.
Does every Deepal S05 have all-wheel drive?
No. The entries distinguish 200kW Max from 320kW Max AWD. Confirm the exact drivetrain and equipment; the Max grade name alone does not settle it.
Do S07 and S05 have the same battery?
The S07 entry has an 80kWh label and S05 entries have 69kWh labels. Resolve the actual UK specification and capacity convention before applying range or charging figures.
Are software subscriptions included for the whole lease?
Only the actual supplied and contracted provision can establish that. Confirm included connected services, duration and any renewal charge. Do not assume an announced future feature is already available.
What UK warranty does Changan state?
Changan states seven years or 100,000 miles for basic cover and eight years or 124,000 miles for the high-voltage battery, subject to policy terms. Its commercial-use provision is shorter: three years or 60,000 miles. The agreement’s use classification must be resolved in writing before assuming the longer headline applies.
Will S07 and S05 have identical company-car tax?
Not necessarily. Both use the zero-emission rate for a given tax year, but personal tax also depends on each car’s actual P11D and your circumstances. The complete lease costs must be compared separately.
Is maintenance included in a Changan lease?
Maintenance is optional: check that the quotation itemises servicing, tyres and exclusions for your chosen Changan. Warranty cover for defects is separate from routine maintenance, insurance, energy and return charges.
Does Deepal S07 have much more boot space than S05?
Changan’s UK figures give S07 a 510-litre rear boot against 492 litres for S05, a difference of 18 litres. S07 is 152mm longer. Its separate front storage is 125 litres, versus 159 litres in S05 RWD or 152 litres in S05 AWD. Match the supplied UK model and drivetrain, and test actual luggage and passengers; separate compartments do not form one larger load space.
